*Be sure to read all old announcements and information below. Then contact your attendance coach (see coaches listed below) if you have additional questions.
* A Sports Physical form must be completed by a physician and turned in to your attendence coach or uploaded to prior to participating in any team practice. The Sports Physical form is good for one calendar year.
*In order for athletes to compete in any Track & Field Meet, parents must complete all information at:
*Parents and Athletes need to sign up for Track & Field practice and meet updates by texting the message @2020fmstf to the number 81010
*Track & Field Information Meeting (students only): Friday, February 14, 2:10-2:30pm in the Gym
*Track & Field First Practice Monday, March 2, 3:40-5:00
*Parents & Athletes Meeting- Thursday, March 5 after practice @ 5:00pm. Meet in the gym.
*The final day to join the track & field team is Monday, March 16
*First Track & Field Meet- Thursday, March 19, 4:00-7:00pm @ FMS
*Daily Practice: Monday - Thursday 3:40-5:00pm
*Practice ends by 5:00pm. After cleaning up the equipment, your child will be ready for pick up. Please be on time.
*Wear athletic clothing and running shoes every day to practice.
*Bring water! It's very important to stay hydrated.
*All athletes will participate in a minimum of four practice meets. (rain or shine)
*We encourage all athletes to participate in up to four events at each practice meet.
*In order to compete in Trials, the coaches will place the top 4 athletes for each event, at each grade level, and gender group. (only three athletes at each grade level and gender group will be placed in the 1600m for Finals)
*If you are planning to participate in any sprinting events (60m hurdles-required, 100m, 200m, 400m, relay teams) we recommend purchasing track shoes (spinting shoes with spikes). You will need:
1/4" spikes for the FMS track
3/16" pyramid (or xmas tree) spikes (NO NEEDLE NOSE SPIKES) for the all-weather tracks at Vista del Lago HS, Folsom HS, Ponderosa HS, Union Mine HS, and Oak Ridge HS
