    *Please go to the Athletics Home for all sports signup information.
     
     
     
    *Track & Field Apparel- Click on the link below for all apparel choices. Pay close attention to the sizing descriptions. There are no refunds or exchanges.(optional purchase)  
     
     
     
    *4X100m and 4X400m Relay Team Challenges on Mondays: We will field an A Team and a B Team for the five practice meets. Then one final A Team for the 4X100m and the 4X400m will represent FMS in the Finals on May 13.
     
     
     
    *Final day to join the Track & Field team:  Monday, March 21
     
     
     
    *First Meet:  Thursday, March 24 @ Vista del Lago HS
     
     
     
    *Team Picture Day:  Tuesday, March 29, 3:45pm (during practice)
     
     
     
    Remind
    Parents and Athletes need to sign up for Track & Field practice and meet updates by texting the message @2022fmstf1 or @2022fmstf2 to the number 81010. Pick only one of the two text messages to type to the number 81010.
     
     
     
    *Transportation Fee and Donation
    This season we do not have access to district transportation. Due to this unfortunate situation, we ask that you transport your child to all meets. Please complete and return the forms below to your child's attendance coach before the first meet on Thursday, March 24.

     
    Please consider donating that "would be" transportation fee or more to our sports programs. Due to the generous donations of past families, we have been able to buy new hurdles and high jump equipment. Donations will be received at the Student Accounts Office or online (see link below).     *Wear athletic clothing and running shoes every day to practice.
     
     
     
     
    *Bring water! It's very important to stay hydrated. 
     
     
     
     
    *All athletes will participate in four or five practice meets. (rain or shine)
     
     
     
     
    *We encourage all athletes to participate in up to four events at each practice meet.
     
     
     
     
    *In order to compete in Trials, the coaches will place the top 4 athletes for each event, at each grade level, and gender group. (only three athletes at each grade level and gender group will be placed in the 1600m for Finals)
     
     
     
     
    *If you are planning to participate in any sprinting events (60m hurdles-required, 100m, 200m, 400m, relay teams) we recommend purchasing track shoes (sprinting shoes with spikes). You will need:


         1/4" spikes for the FMS or the SMS track
     
         3/16" pyramid (or xmas tree) spikes (NO NEEDLE NOSE SPIKES) for the all-weather         tracks at Vista del Lago HS, Folsom HS, Cordova HS, Ponderosa HS, Union Mine HS,       and Oak Ridge HS

    *Track & Field Practices:  Monday - Thursday 3:40 - 5:00pm @ FMS Track
     
     
     
    *Practice ends at 5:00pm. After cleaning up the equipment, your child will be ready for pick up. Please be on time.
     
     
     
    *Parent/Athlete Meeting: Thursday, March 17 in the FMS Gym @ 5:00pm
