WEB, which stands for “Where Everybody Belongs” is a middle school orientation and transition program that welcomes 6th/7th graders and makes them feel comfortable throughout the first year of their middle school experience. Built on the belief that students can help students succeed, the program trains mentors from your 8th grade class to be WEB Leaders. As positive role models, WEB Leaders are mentors and student leaders who guide the 6th/7th graders to discover what it takes to be successful during the transition to middle school and help facilitate 6th/7th grade success.
WEB is a fantastic program for our school-we hope to see discipline issues continue to decline and connectivity increase. Our school climate thrives with the ‘students helping students succeed’ approach…and despite all the hard work and energy we get tremendous satisfaction watching the magic happen.Meets: Monday - Thursday during advisory
Important Date Coming Up...
We are in dire need of Middle School/High School aged volunteers to
help at our All Goblins and Gators Halloween festival on Saturday,
October 19th from 4-7:30pm at Sandra J Gallardo Elementary School!
This is a super fun event to volunteer at - we’ll have carnival games,
live reptile room, petting zoo, live bands, food trucks, haunted
houses (put on by Vista's Drama Club), and more!!
This is a great opportunity to earn volunteer credits or have a fun
festive Saturday volunteering among peers. Our student volunteers will
gain free access to stay at the event before or after their shift, and
they will each get a free chick-fil-a sandwich for dinner plus snacks.
