    • Introduction to Engineering - Download and install Inventor Pro 2023 and Fusion360 if you want to have this at home. Create an education account for the free software
    • Civil Engineering and Architecture / Advanced Arch and Drafting -  Download and install Revit 2023. Be sure to create an education account- this will help you later on with cloud rendering. 
     
     
  • johnstone About Me: I'm beginning my sixteenth year of teaching. I started at FHS, spent five years teaching at FMS and then back to FHS. The return to high school was an exciting change and the energy and passion of the students last year, ensured me I was in the right place.
     
    I've taught a number of courses over those years including Government/Economics, Personal Business Finance, Geometry, Algebra, multiple middle school math classes, Project Lead the Way (Engineering), Introduction to Engineering, World Cultures, and Civil Engineering and Architecture. I'm excited about continuing with our new advanced drafting and architecture course that qualifies for visual art credit with CSU/UC that was entirely student driven. Students wanted a pathway to continue studying architecture and design and I'm proud that we were able to create this course to answer that student demand. 
     
    I've also done work with graphic design and technology outside of school. For fun, I enjoy boating on Folsom Lake, skiing in Tahoe, backpacking, and running. I've run 11 marathons, lots of triathlons and completed my first Half Ironman (70.3 miles) almost an hour ahead of my goal. I have my sailing, boating, SCUBA, and private pilot's licenses.
