Mr. Gravin is in his 27th year teaching music in the public schools (20 years in FCUSD).
My B.M.A. and M.A. degrees are in cello performance, and I have a CA Clear teaching Credential and an Administrative Tier 1 Credential from Chapman University. I play the cello professionally with the Sacramento Philharmonic and Opera, the Sacramento Choral Society Orchestra, and Music Circus/Broadway Series productions. I coach youth orchestras and ensembles and adjudicate for auditions and music festivals such as the CMEA and Golden Empire Music Festivals. I am the founder and former director of orchestras at Sierra Mountain Music Camp, South Placer Youth Symphony, Solano County Youth Symphony, and the FCUSD Adult Education Orchestra.
I enjoy teaching stringed instruments especially, but I also teach general music (singing, recorder, theory, and music appreciation). I love giving young students their first introduction to music! This school year all instruction will start out as General Music. As the school year progresses, I will continue to expand my curriculum to coincide with whatever is allowed under the current Covid guidelines. Here's to 22-23!
