Mrs. Boyd
Born and raised in lovely, sunny, Orange County, California. The child of two school teachers and the receiver of many practical jokes from her two older brothers I was a quiet (shocking!) child who had an artistic bent and really tried very hard to be unique without being considered too weird.
After high school I dutifully made my way to college at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Marketing. Still not sure what to do with my new found degree I took a u-turn and ended up at paralegal school in Atlanta, Georgia. After obtaining my paralegal certificate I returned to Texas and the big city aka Dallas to start a career. Through twists and turns I ended up back in Orange County, but not for long, and I headed up North to Sacramento. I came for a brief visit and stayed. I have now lived in the Sacramento area for over 30 years.
After quite a few years in the legal biz in the Sacramento area, I realized that law was not where my heart nor passions lie, so, I returned to school once again to get my teaching credential at National University.
My first teaching job taught me that I had made the right choice and it set me on a career path that continues to be fulfilling and fun every day. I love learning as much as teaching and my my motto is, "Never, ever, ever stop learning!"
In my private time I enjoy spending time with my husband Damon, our grandchildren and all of my family and friends. We also share our lives with a very pugnacious pug named Otis.
