Mr. John Lusk
I have been teaching Spanish in the Folsom Cordova Unified School District since 2004. I taught for 3 years at Folsom High School and came to Vista del Lago the year that it opened. I have taught levels 1, 2, and 3 more times than I can remember in the last few years. I was also the division leader for the World Languages Department from 2009-2016.
I grew up in the Sacramento region and attended St. Albans Country Day School in Roseville and Jesuit High School in Carmichael. After high school I studied at American River College, and U.C. Davis. Finally, I earned my teaching credential at Sacramento State. I have also studied Spanish abroad many times in Cuernavaca, Mexico and in both Barcelona and Madrid, Spain. The majority of my time abroad was spent in Barcelona where I have family.
During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my wife and children. I also enjoy watching the 49ers and riding my skateboard or bike with my wife and kids. In the summer, my wife, kids and I like to travel up and down the west coast. We have been to Cabo San Lucas, Portland, Seattle, Palm Springs, Vancouver, Whistler, Victoria, San Diego, San Marcos, San Diego, Pajaro Dunes and Sun River in the last few years.
