FCUSD NonDiscrimination Statement: The Folsom Cordova Unified School District prohibits discrimination, intimidation, harassment (including sexual harassment) or bullying based on a person’s actual or perceived ancestry, color, disability, race or ethnicity, religion, gender, gender identity or gender expression, immigration status, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, or association with a person or group with one or more of these actual or perceived characteristics.

D., firstname.lastname@example.org (grades 6-12), 1965 Birkmont Drive, Rancho Cordova, CA 96742, 916-294-9000 ext.104625Title IX information: Title IX is a critical federal civil rights law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex (including sexual harassment) in our schools - 34 C.F.R. § 106.31 et al. It protects male and female students and employees in any educational entity that receives federal funds. In addition, Title IX protects transgender students and students who do not confirm to sex stereotypes.
State law also prohibits discrimination based on gender (sex), gender expression, gender identity, and sexual orientation.
The California Department of Education's California Education Code Section 221.8 specifies individual's rights as it applies to the Sex Equity in Education Act.
CA Educ Code § 230 (2017) For purposes of this chapter, harassment and other discrimination on the basis of sex include, but are not limited to, the following practices: (a) On the basis of sex, exclusion of a person or persons from participation in, denial of the benefits of, or subjection to harassment or other discrimination in, any academic, extracurricular, research, occupational training, or other program or activity.
