    OPEN ENROLLMENT 2023 - CLOSED

    2023-24 Plan Year September 1, 2023 - August 31, 2024

    ALL MEDICAL PLAN PREMIUMS INCREASED

    Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) Annual Enrollment - plans will NOT roll to the new plan year, re-enrollment is required (Active Employees)

    Re-Certify Cash-In-Lieu of Medical (Waived) - current employees and retirees receiving the waived benefit will NOT continue without re-certifying annually, April 2023, for school year 2023-24, email instructions were sent.  Next re-certification will be early 2024 and listed on this site. Email instructions will be sent to all qualified employees.

    ACTIVE EMPLOYEES: You are able to review your current elections by signing into EASE.   If you do not remember your login, use your district email address and reset your password.   If you need assistance, call the Employee Support Center (800) 863-9019 M-F 9am-5pm  

    RETIREES: Retiree open enrollment process remains unchanged.   You are required to complete a Retiree Universal Enrollment Form and email Jenyn Warren jwarren@fcusd.org.  The form can be found on the Retiree tab to the left.  For additional assistance, you may contact EPIC Benefits Help Desk at (877) 374-2151 or email csr@epicbrokers.com.


    NEW HIRES or QUALIFYING LIFE EVENTS

    You have 31 days from your hire date or qualifying life event to process your benefits enrollment. 

    Outside of the annual Open Enrollment period, you cannot add, drop, or change your election unless you experience an eligible IRS Section 125 "Qualified Status Change" or HIPAA Special Enrollment event.  You must notify the District's Benefits Office within 30 days of the event.  Failure to do so will result in a forfeiture of COBRA rights, responsibility for any premium contributions and forfeit your right to enroll in the District's plans until the next open enrollment period each May.  The following are qualifying event examples:

    ·    Return from an unpaid leave of absence or significant FTE change

    ·    Marriage, Registered Domestic Partnership, Divorce or Legal Separation

    ·    Birth, Adoption, Permanent Legal Guardianship or Death 

    ·    Loss or Gain of Coverage for you and/or your dependents 

     

    CASH IN LIEU

    Effective September 1, 2022, the cash in lieu benefit is no longer available for employees hired on or after September 1, 2022.  Existing employees receiving the benefit will be allowed to continue if they re-certify annually or until the employee elects to terminate their enrollment or has any separation in service.   CSEA 10.11.5.1    FCEA 16.3
