Welcome to 7th Grade Social Studies with Mr. Duran!
We will be spending the year studying Medieval History in seventh grade, as well as growing and preparing for the transition into 8th grade next year. Our Units of Study for the remainder of the 2018-2019 school year include: African Civilizations, World Religions including (the Catholic and Protestant Reformation in Europe, Islam in Persia, and changes to religions in Southeast Asia) New Ideas (The Renaissance, Scientific Revolution, The Enlightenment), and the Age of Exploration and Trade.
If students require additional assistance, I will generally be available for assistance before school from 8:15am-8:45am. I will post in advance on the students daily “Jagenda“ board if I am unavailable on a specific date.
Thank you so much, and I look forward to getting to know you and your child better during our time together this year.
Communication is vital for success so please feel free to contact me via email with any questions or concerns.
