• Welcome to the 2018-2019 School Year

    Math: Course 3 w/support (8th Grade) & Course 3 (8th Grade)

Years of teaching experience:  15 years

College of Study: UC Davis, Managerial Economics; National University, Single Subject Teaching Credential

Hobbies/interest outside of school: My favorite thing to do is spend time with my family, travel and read. I have four grown children and a six year old grandson and another one due in November.  Prior to teaching, I worked in the electronics industry for 20 years in Business Operations.

Educational Philosophy:  All students are capable of learning, they have to want to learn.  The middle school years are a time when students need to not only learn about the subjects at hand, but also learn study skills, work habits, responsibility, and how to apply critical thinking.  Contributing to the success of a student is their attitude, working smarter not harder, and being able to apply concepts learned to real life situations.

I am generally available for help before school M-F (8:00-8:40), advisory, during lunch, and most days after school.
i-Ready - Course 3 w/support: Students can access the i-Ready program from home by logging onto the following and using their log-in and password already provided to them during class.  The i-Ready program generates lessons based on those areas your child may be struggling in as noted on the diagnostic test they will take 2-3 times during the school year.
