May 6th: Volunteer appreciation Day @ 5:30 in PTO Lounge
May 6th: Last PTO Meeting of the Year in PTO Lounge from 6:30 to 7:30
May 6th to May 10th: Staff Appreciation Week
May 17th: 8th Grade Dance in Multi from 7 to 9 (Friday). Attention 8th graders – Save the Date! Friday May 17, 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM is the 8th grade Dance. Tickets sales start May 14th and will be $10.
May 24th: Field Day for 6th and 7th Grade in School [Our classroom Rm #407, 8th graders will join].
May 27th: Memorial Day No School
May 28th-30th: Minimum Days
May 30th: Last Day of School Year 2018-19
*State CAASPP/CAA testing will begin for ELA/Math will continue through May. 8th grade students will also participate in Science testing.Helpful Reminders:Remember to check your student's backpack daily to look for updated information in home/school binders.Bring P.E. clothes on Monday. Uniforms will be sent home for washing on Friday.Have a supply of extra clothes AND SHOES available at school, along with personal hygiene kit.Pack a lunch and snacks for the school day OR bring snack if signed up for hotlunch.

About Your TeacherMrs. Ludlow has been in the field of education for more than twenty-five years. She began her teaching journey as a reading instructional assistant while attending San Jose State University earning a degree in Child Development Psychology. Following, she earned her Multiple Subject credential, from CSU East Bay for the elementary level and taught reading and language arts readiness in the primary grades for six years. Having an interest to further her career in Psychology, while also working with students, she pursued a Master's Degree in Career Counseling in Higher Education from Chapman University and complemented this degree with Mild-Moderate and Moderate-Severe Education Specialist credentials, followed by a Single Subject English credential. After working at the high school level for five years, she came to FMS during the 2011-2012 school year and is now able to work with her favorite age groups--6th, 7th, and 8th! Mrs. Ludlow's family is extremely supportive and Mr. Ludlow also works in the field of education. They have two grown sons, college and career bound. The Ludlow household also is home to two Labrador Retrievers--a male Chocolate and a Yellow female, and seven aquatic turtles!
