Increasing Your School Funding LCFF
With the completion of a sngle form you can increase funding to your child's school.
Every student in your school receives free meals. However, your school is asking that you complete an “alternative income eligibility” form for your school.
This is not an application for free or reduced meals. This ensures your school receives the most amount of funding available from the state, which is used to increase services for your school, including intervention teachers, academic coaches, special programs, technology, field trips and more!
We need your help: Without everyone’s participation, your school may not receive all of the funding it is entitled to from the state - meaning fewer services for our students.
Confidential: Our system is confidential, we will never share your information with anyone. You may return your form in a sealed envelope, if requested, or complete the form online in the privacy of your home.
Complete the form: Click here to complete the form online. Paper copies are available at the school's front office.
For more information: Call your school or the Categorical Programs department at (916) 294-9000.
For students who choose to attend college after high school, Folsom Cordova’s three comprehensive high schools - Cordova High, Folsom High, and Vista del Lago High - continues to prepare them for admission.
As part of its community-developed Safety Action Plan, the District this summer worked with Rancho Cordova and Folsom Police and Fire departments to organize three active shooter training drills for officers and SWAT team members at all three comprehensive high school campuses.
Earlier this year at Oak Chan Elementary School’s ‘Back to School Night,’ something new was unveiled on campus: a book vending machine. It works as one normally would but instead of snacks, it’s books, and rather than cash, it’s special gold coins.
The Patient Care pathway helps set students on a path to potential careers in medicine, everything from doctors to nurses, medical assistants to physical therapists, and more.
About 30 students from Folsom High and Cordova High recently had the opportunity to learn more about Historically Black Colleges and Universities - and several received on-the-spot admissions based on their grades and SAT scores!
Led by instructor MSgt Phil Magreevy, the cadets and color guard raised a special version of the American Flag, inscribed with the names of the nearly 3,000 victims who died in the historic attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon.
