  • Survey: Spending plan for student success

The state of California directs a greater share of public education funding to high-need schools, and requires districts to plan for and show how these funds are spent in a document called a Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP).

The LCAP is a state-mandated document that must be updated each year to ensure that the District not only is targeting its services and expenditures toward our highest-need students, but also to measure whether those actions are meeting the desired outcomes.

We can't identify our highest areas of need without your input! Visit www.fcusd.org/LCAP to learn more.

  • Vista del Lago capacity updates: Your questions answered

Vista del Lago High School continues to experience its largest student enrollment since it opened more than a decade ago. Earlier this school year, the Board of Education took action to manage school capacity for the upcoming school year (2019-20), and in the coming months, the District will engage the community to review school boundaries to help permanently alleviate overcrowding.

In an effort to keep our communities informed throughout the process, the District has compiled these updated answers to some of the most frequently asked questions. Folsom Cordova will continue to update this information periodically.

Visit www.fcusd.org/vistacapacity for the latest information and updates.

  • CTC Accreditation: Enlisting Third Party Comments

Folsom Cordova Unified School District is seeking initial institutional approval by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. This approval would allow the Folsom Cordova Unified School District to sponsor educator preparation programs in California. Interested parties are invited to submit comments to the Commission at input@ctc.ca.gov. Please note that comments must address substantive matters related to the quality of professional education programs offered, and should specify the party’s relationship to the institution (i.e., graduate, present or former faculty member, employer of graduates). All identifying information will remain confidential.
