Busy, busy, busy. Students were engaged in PE, Music, Art, lunch and, of course, Reading and Math. I followed a teacher and her class around the school, wondering what she was pointing to along with way. The teacher was explaining the use of the Braile language on the signs and why that was necessary.
How many second grade students know why there are signs with bumps on them? But, most important is the HUGE increase in the API at Shields from 769
to 806. As you know, 800 has been designated by the State as the API for high-performing schools. Great job, Shields students and staff!
