Principal Linson has welcomed two Independent Living Skills classes to her campus this year.  Along with the academics, students in Ms. Cordova's and Ms. Smith's classes learn skills necessary to be independent, which includes nutrition, cooking, laundry, making a bed, grocery shopping, handling of money, and community service.    The some FLHS students have decided to "buddy" with the ILS students giving both groups of students new experiences and friendships.  I was very impressed with the student art work displayed at the school, ranging from ceramics to the mural on the front wall of the campus.  Teachers are working together on their WASC study this year, with Outside Review scheduled in the spring.
