Cordova Villa Elementary School makes strides in annual yearly progress toward Safe Harbor, with a gain of 48 points. The school and its student subgroups met the criteria for Safe Harbor, which is an alternate method of meeting the Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) if a school, a LEA, or a student group shows progress in moving students from scoring at the below-proficient level to the proficient level. If the school makes growth in all subgroups in the next year, they will be removed from Program Improvement (PI) status. Principal Wallace will present the successful strategy in front of the Sacramento County Office of Education. Congratulations Jon Wallace, all of her staff, and students. On this day, we visited every classroom to acknowledge the teachers with a "Celebratory Cookie"
