Schools celebrate Read Across America

The National Education Association's Read Across America Day, is celebrated every year on March 2nd, the birthday of children's author Dr. Seuss.

Many FCUSD schools held Dr. Seuss theme days for Read Across America week to support student literacy.

Our district cameras made it out to "Wacky Wednesday," at Folsom Hills Elementary. Students, teachers, administrators and staff dressed in their wackiest outfits while engaging in various literacy activities throughout the day.

At Cordova Meadows Elementary we captured images of students grades Pre-K to 2nd receiving a free book from the City of Rancho Cordova. Students were excited to read their new book they each received.

2,500 books total were donated by the City of Rancho Cordova to 10 of our FCUSD elementary schools in the city limit.
