Mr. Waldo's "best day ever" filming with CSN TV crew
Folsom Middle School engineering teacher Dale Waldo is one of five finalist being considered to win the CSN All-Star Teacher Award 2017.
Waldo was chosen out of 150 applicants.
CSN was out at Folsom Middle School on March 20, filming a profile story on Waldo and visited his classroom.
If you don't know him well, Waldo tells his students and colleagues daily that, " It is the best day ever," because he wants everyone to have a great day. It is clear from his students, colleagues and community members that he inspires them with his positive attitude, in fact it is contagious.
Waldo has been a teacher for FCUSD since 2001, at W.E. Mitchell Middle School for thirteen years and at his current school Folsom Middle School for three years.
The voting period for the contest goes from April 10 to June 1. The district will make it easy for you to vote, once we are able to vote. Should Waldo win, Folsom Middle School would win $20,000 sponsored by CSN and Provident Credit Union.
The winning teacher will be revealed at the Giants vs. Rockies game on June 28 at 12:45 p.m. All five finalist will be honored at a ceremony at AT&T ballpark in San Francisco.
Starting April 10 you'll be hearing a lot more about when and how you can vote for Mr. Waldo in the near future. FCUSD is proud to have him representing our district in this competition.
