VIDEO: Sutter Middle head shaving event raises $22K
Sutter Middle School students, teachers, staff, administrators and even board member Zak Ford shaved their heads to help raise funds for the St. Baldrick's Foundation to research childhood cancer.
Last year Sutter Middle School raised nearly $10,000. This year Principal Keri Phillips made a deal with students that she would shave her head if the school doubled what they made last year, they did and so she did! Principal Phillips shaved off a section of her hair each lunch period for each grade.
The school has fundraised over $22,000, surpassing their 20,000 goal!
The students who raised the most funds are:
Reva Semant, 8th grade, $6,826
Alyssa Johnson, 8th grade, $1,380
Joey Johnson, 6th grade, $ 1,090
Hailey Flores, 8th grade, $1,020
