KINDERGARTEN/NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION

2017-2018 Registration Information

  • FCUSD is once again implementing online registration for the 2017-2018 school year.  All parents/guardians of new students must fill out a Pre-Enrollment Packet. Packets will be available in the Natoma Station office beginning Friday, January 20, 2017. Complete packets are only available in the Natoma Station office. The first page of the packet, however, is available as an online interactive form which you can opt to fill out and print by going to FCUSD.org. Click on For Parents and you may then visit the Elementary Instruction Website for Kindergarten and New Elementary Student Registration.

Our Kindergarten/New Student Registration Night is scheduled for Thursday, January 26, 2017. The Pre-Enrollment Packet will need to be returned to the Natoma Station office anytime between 3:30-5:00pm on that night.

Our district has a policy to keep siblings at the same school whenever possible. Kindergarten students with siblings currently enrolled at Natoma Station may drop off completed paperwork in our office on January 24th & 25th from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm.

In addition to the completed Pre-Enrollment Packet, you will also need to provide copies of:

  • Birth Certificate or Passport - Please bring the original and a copy
  • Immunization Records
  • Proof of Residency - Recent SMUD bill, PG&E bill, or Rental/Lease Agreement
SnapCodes will be emailed to families in February.  The SnapCode will enable families to complete their student’s registration online.  Online registration opens on Wednesday, February 1st.  All online registrations must be completed by Friday, March 10th.  For questions, you may call the office at 916-294-9145.

PLEASE NOTE: Incoming Kindergartners must turn 5 on or before September 1, 2017

Important Information for all new students:

When registering, every new student completes a Home Language Survey (Language Identification Form).  If the answers to questions 1, 2 or 3 name a language other than English, the student is identified as a “language minority” student.  A “language minority” student will be assessed within thirty (30) calendar days of enrollment to determine if he/she is an English learner or is initially fluent in English. Students will be tested for English proficiency using the California English Language Development Test (CELDT), and that test will be the primary determinant for initial identification of English fluency status.

INFORMATION FOR OUR RETURNING STUDENTS
WILL BE SENT HOME ON JANUARY 27, 2017
