    Scholarships come in throughout the year.  Check this list frequently for updates. Hard copies are in the scholarship binder in the counseling office.  When you apply to colleges, check their sites or financial aid office for scholarships they may have for prospective students!  In addition, some good scholarship sites;;;; 









    NFIB Young Entrepreneur Foundation



    Must own or operate your own business.

    Planning to attend a two or four year college or vocational school in the fall of 2015.

    Legal residents

    Planning to enroll full-time at a public or private college, university, or trade school.

    700-1000 word essay on “Importance of Establishing and Maintaining Good Financial Credit During Your College Years”.

    2015 Profile in Courage Essay Contest

    $10000& a trip to Boston




    Essay contest.  Describe and analyze an act of political courage by a U.S. elected official who served during or after 1956.  700-1000 words. Apply at the Essay Contest page on 


    Nursing Education Scholarship


    12 or current college

    Must be planning to study a medical field.

    Min. GPA 3.0

    500-1000 word essay on what they hope to accomplish.

    Golden 1 Credit Union Scholarships

    $1000-$5000 a year for 2-4 years


    Planning to attend 2 or 4 year college in CA. 

    GPA 3.0 or higher

    Must be involved in Community service and extracurricular activities.

    Student must be a Golden 1 member for a year OR a dependent of someone who is a member for a year

    Based on scholastic achievement, service to the community, and financial need.

    2 scholarships for children of Local 522 members and 2 scholarships for students.
