'Student Named Candidate for Presidential Scholars Program'
The District Congratulates Michelle Tseng, a Folsom High School Student. Michelle was named a candidate for this coveted program. Only 141 graduating seniors nationwide are designated with this, among the nation´s highest honors for high school students. If selected, Michelle will be invited to Washington, DC in June to participate in National Recognition week, which culminates with a Presidential Scholars ceremony at the White House. Congratulations and Good Luck to you!

'Five District School Named as Prestigious Honor Roll Schools'
Congratulations to Sandra J. Gallardo Elementary, Folsom High, Carl H. Sundahl Elementary, Folsom Hills Elementary, Natoma Station Elementary, and Empire Oaks Elementary. Each of these schools were named for raising students to grade level proficiency by the 'California Business for Education Excellence'. Congratulations of this tremendous success.

Parent District Advisory Committee (PDAC) Tuesday 2/23/2010 9:30am-11:00am at Folsom Middle School
- Debbie Bettencourt and Patrick Godwin will be there to discuss budget and other updates.
- JoAnne Reinking and Lisa Vaca will be presenting information about raising money to help save athletics, libraries and other programs.
- Marie Correa from Support CA Kids to discuss what parents can do on a state-wide level to fight for education funding.
