Project Description:  Included HVAC, replacement of interior finishes including floors, wall surfaces and ceilings; installation of new equipment including white boards, casework and cabinets; upgrades to toilet rooms including accessibility, toilets, sinks and partitions; accessibility upgrades for ADA compliance; replacement of exterior doors and all hardware; repair and/or replacement of roofs as needed; upgrade of electrical system and increase in power capacity in classrooms to accommodate technology; complete technology data system including conduit, trenching, cabling and active hardware, increase network speed; provide computers and laser printers; installation of new signal systems, including telephone, intercom, clocks, bells, fire alarm and intrusion alarm; installation of new energy efficient lighting fixtures and controls; repair of dry rot and termite damage; asbestos abatement; and replacement of old furniture.

Project Funding:  The project construction cost was $3.1 million and was funded from Measure C and the state school building program.

Project Timeline:  The project began in May 2002 and was complete by December 2002.
