Community
Education Center currently serves grades 7-12 and pupils in the
Adolescent Parent Program. The site also houses Family Support
Services, Transitional English and Adult Education. The school is
located on 8.67 acres in Rancho Cordova. The original permanent
buildings were established in 1964 and were modernized in 2004. The
computer lab was placed in 1999. In 2001, eleven relocatable buildings
were added for student care/preschool, family support services,
transitional English and additional restrooms. In 2003, six Department
of Housing relocatable buildings were moved to the site from Gold Ridge
Elementary for use by Adult Education. A large office complex
relocatable building was placed during the summer of 2005 for use by
psychology services and special education. The layout of this site
will be revised to provide better security during the 2012
modernization project funded by Measure N.
