Modernization 2002

Project Description:  This project included HVAC replacement; replacement of interior finishes including floors, wall surfaces and ceilings; new equipment including white boards, casework and cabinets; upgrading of toilet rooms including accessibility, toilets, sinks and partitions; accessibility upgrades for ADA compliance; replacement of exterior doors and all hardware; repair and/or replacement of roofs as needed; upgrade of electrical system and increase in power capacity in classrooms to accommodate technology; complete technology data system, increase network speed and provide computers, LCD projectors, addition of a computer/training lab; installation of telephones,  clocks, bells, fire alarm and intrusion alarm; installation of new energy efficient lighting fixtures and controls; repair of dry rot and termite damage; asbestos abatement; replacement of old furniture; exterior painting and tile repair; and replacement of multipurpose room floor.

Project Funding:  The project construction cost was $3.1 million and was funded from Measure C and the state school building program.

Project Timeline:  The project began in May 2002 and was complete by December 2002.
