The Rancho Cordova Children, Youth and Families Collaborative is working with teens in Rancho Cordova to develop a creative campaign that boasts why they choose to live drug-free lives.
Colorful decorations, festive food, and moving memorials all contributed to the transformation of a room at Walnutwood High School. The change was for Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead: a Mexican holiday in which people reunite with their lost loved ones.
Foot-candles and Watts became common in conversation for several Cordova High School students. They measured the energy efficiency of their school using high-tech instruments with the help of SMUD.
Earlier this year, the Folsom community gathered to discuss ways to protect youth from substance abuse during a special “Be Smart, Don’t Start” drug forum.
