Photographers Needed!

Attention all parents. We need your photos for the yearbook this year. Please contact Kym Saylor at    987-9434 or kymandcharlie@aol.com if you have any pictures you want to submit. Remember, the more you submit, the better chance all the kids can get into the yearbook. Thank you.

Dogs on Campus

We have had an increase of animals joining adults during arrival and dismissal time.  For the safety and cleanliness of our campus, please remember that dogs (or cats J) are not allowed on campus.  Many students have health issues with animals and in some cases are fearful of animals. Thank you for either keeping your dog (or catJ) at home or securely locked in your car during arrival or dismissal time.  Thank you for your continued support and regard for our students and campus.

One Way Bus Passes

One way bus passes may be purchased in the school office. The cost is $3.00 per ticket – cash only. Checks are not accepted. You may also order them from the Transportation Department.

Lunch Money Reminder

It is a very hectic time of year but please remember to provide lunch money or a bag lunch for your student. Many students have run out of money and are not able to have a lunch – in that case they are provided with crackers and milk. You can check your student’s balance by going to Meal Time. You will need your student’s ID number which may be obtained from the school office.

Volunteer Information

Before you volunteer in your child’s classroom, please make sure you have a current Category 1 Volunteer Application on file, along with a current TB Test. A TB test is good for 4 years. A volunteer application is required each school year.

How to Communicate with RESPECT When We Have a Problem
Our lessons this year have focused on RESPECT. Last trimester, students identified their heroes, thinking about why they admire a person (not just wealth and popularity), and trying to incorporate those admirable qualities into their lives. We asked, “Would my hero be proud of me right now?” Students who can name their heroes are more likely to set positive goals for themselves because of their role models/heroes.  Read More...

WeTip School Safety Program

Carl Sundahl Elementary School participates in the WeTip School Safety Program, which is a joint effort by law enforcement, students, families, and school district personnel to provide a safe school environment. WeTip is an anonymous, 24-hour hotline for parents, students, staff, and community members to report school-related crimes and suspicious incidents. This includes vandalism, arson, drug use, bullying, and theft. There is a potential reward of up to $1,000 if there is an arrest and conviction.

Please help keep our schools safe by reporting suspicious activities immediately. If you see something or know something, call the police or the WeTip hotline. Working together, we can keep our students and schools safe.
