Dear Families,

On behalf of the Carl Sundahl staff, I would like to welcome you to the 2010-2011 school year. I hope everyone had an enjoyable and restful summer and we are all eager and excited to begin a new school year. I’m very pleased to welcome all of our new kindergarten students as they begin their educational careers here at Sundahl. I would also like to welcome any new students that are joining us for the first time. I’m sure you will find our school to be a very positive and welcoming place.

This year promises to be very busy and exciting. There are a lot of activities being planned and it is important for parents to be kept informed. We will be posting future editions of the Dolphin Dateline as well as all up and coming Sundahl events and information on our Carl Sundahl Edline website:  www.fcusd.org/carlsundahl. Using Edline will now be the best way to keep up with what's going on at Carl Sundahl. 

Many teachers will also be communicating with parents regularly via email.  Please take the time to let your child’s teacher know which form of classroom communication works best for you.  Establishing effective communication is the first step in building a strong home/school partnership.

I wanted to take the opportunity to remind you that at Sundahl our goal is for your child to come to school every day where we will provide a safe, healthy and happy environment so they can, and will, work to their fullest potential.  We will need to work together throughout the year to achieve that goal.
