Summary:

Under a tree next to a calm river, Alice becomes bored of listening to her sister read aloud a history book, so she begins to think about what a world of her own would be like. She sees a white rabbit with a huge pocket watch running across the meadow, and into a big rabbit hole. She follows the rabbit into the hole, and falls down a tunnel. When she lands, she finds herself in an empty room with nothing but a door. She cannot fit through the door, so the talking knob suggests she drinks from a bottle. She shrinks down, and goes through the lockhole. Then, she finds herself in a forest where she meets Tweedledee and Tweedledum. They tell her a story that tells her not to be curious. But she ignores it. She follows the rabbit into a garden, where she eats a carrot that shrinks her down to a couple of inches high. Alice returns to her normal size, and gets directions from the Cheshire Cat that lead her to the Mad Hatter's house. The Mad Hatter and the March Hare celebrate their "unbirthdays", when Alice decides to abandon her quest to find the White Rabbit. The Cheshire Cat shows her a short cut out of the forest, but it just leads her to the hedge maze garden. There, she meets the Queen of Hearts who invites Alice to a strange game of Croquet. The Cheshire Cat plays a prank on the queen, and she blames Alice. So, all of the crazy characters of Wonderland chase after Alice to chop off her head. While running away from everyone, Alice wakes up from a her wild dream of all her adventures in Wonderland.
