Mr.
Monahan
| What Mr. Monahan likes most about teaching is working with the students and being able to talk about his interests with them. He doesn't have a favorite specific classroom memory, but he said that he really likes to watch students learn new concepts. |

A love of working with kids was why he started teaching. When questioned, he said, "I started teaching because I had quite a bit of experience working with kids, and I really enjoyed it."

Mr. Monahan was born and raised in San Francisco. As A middle school student, he said that he kind of enjoyed middle school; he liked the friendships. When he grew up he attended San Francisco University. Now, on the weekends, Mr. Monahan likes to relax and hang out with his family and friends. One of his hobbies is golfing. Mr. Monahan said, "I love to golf, though I'm a terrible golfer!"

Mr. Monahan has a lot of favorites. His favorite type of music it alternative rock. One of Mr. Monahan's favorite books is Catcher in the Rye. His favorite color is blue, and the San Francisco Giants are his favorite sports team. A restaurant he likes is Mason's in San Francisco. And Mr. Monahan would love to own a Porsche Carrera.

Like most teachers, Mr. Monahan likes to travel. He says it is a" great way to experience new things." He has a Labrador retriever. He is married and has one kid, a boy who is one year old.
