Frequently Asked Questions
Question Answer
It's web-based - can I work on Cruncher from home? Unfortunately, no.  For security reasons, Cruncher is only accessible from inside the Folsom Cordova network.
Who will be printing the final report cards? Each site principal will be making that decision for his/her site.  Individual teachers can print their own report cards (see the training video for details), but some sites, due to printer or other considerations, may opt to do one mass printing out of the office when all cards are ready.
How will the Indicators (i.e., RSP, Speech, etc.) and Attendance be updated to the report cards? The office staff has a procedure they will run to update this information from current SASI data.  You need to make sure that process has been run and the information is up-to-date prior to printing your final report cards.
What if I see a mistake in an Indicator (ex., a child I know is RSP does not have that field marked)? Notify your front office staff ASAP.  Data may need to be corrected in SASI, then uploaded again to Cruncher for your report card.
Can I use bold or another font in the Comments field in Cruncher? Unfortunately, not at the present time.  If you want to emphasize something, for now, type it in ALL CAPITALS.
When will the report cards become available for me to enter my data? Report cards for each trimester will become available three school weeks before the trimester ends.  They will remain available two school weeks after the trimester ends (see below).
When and how do the report card grades get locked? It is a manual process that ETIS will take care of for the sites.  The cards will have to be locked (i.e., no longer can be edited) two full weeks after the trimester ends.  You'll then see the fields for the next trimester become available, but the previous trimester will be "view only."
How is a report card created for a student who is leaving mid-term? The office staff will print a report card with whatever information is in Cruncher on the day the student checks out.  It will be blank if the student checks out prior to the end of Trimester 1, and will have the current information for each trimester after that.  They will then give the printed report card to the teacher who will need to manually fill in the exit grades and give it back to the office staff to place in their cum.  (This is necessary because teachers no longer see students after they are inactivated in SASI.)
