Can I buy other stuff through this site?
You bet! Many of our technology standards are for HP
products, and a variety of them can be added to your cart
and consolidated into one Purchase Order (saving our
district and schools valuable dollars). These include
keyboards, printers, and a variety of other products.
See the "Browse by Category" links on the left side of the
FCUSD Technology Quote Site
page after you log in.
What about personal purchases of HP
products - can I get a discount? If you're an
employee of the district, you sure can. In fact, in
some cases, you can get the same pricing the district gets
on some product configurations, and that can be a nice
discount. Click here to get more information
(FCUSD Employee Personal Purchases of HP Equipment) I found a
great deal - Can't I get reimbursed if I just go buy
this stuff myself?
That's a big "noooo!" All tech purchases have to be
pre-approved (not after) by both the district and the
individual responsible for those budgets. And
remember too, a lot of factors go into determining what a
purchase really "costs" an organization, and we're no
exception. Good, reliable vendor support can be an
important factor too. What seems like a bargain
sometimes isn't in the end.
That said, if you find a great deal for the same
product the district is buying, with the same stuff on
it but at a better price, by all means, let our Purchasing
Dept. know about it! You can send a message to our
buyer, Peggy Beller,
and let her know what you've found.
What if I don't find the
answers to my questions here? You have a couple
options. If your question is a technical one,
contact us here at ETIS (916.355.1111 x164). If
your question is about pricing, how to fill out a
requisition, issues with delivery or a vendor, etc., contact
Purchasing (916.355.1111 x139). We're here to help!
