At its January 14, 2010 meeting, the Governing Board of the Folsom Cordova Unified School District recognized the exceptional achievement of two of our brightest teachers.
Superintendent Godwin invited Lead Teacher Ginny Bateman to introduce the two teachers who have recently completed the National Board Certification Program. Board President, Teresa Stanley presented pins of acknowledgement to Navigator Elementary teacher Sarah Kirby-Gonzalez and Gold Ridge Elementary teacher Terry English.
Ms. Kirby-Gonzalez and Mr. English described how being in the program has affected students in their classrooms and praised Ms. Bateman for her leadership.
Ms. Bateman also acknowledged Carl Sundahl Elementary teachers Sandy Barnes and Ilene Klang who successfully renewed their certification in 2009, and asked the group of teachers currently going through the certification process to stand up and be recognized.
Trustees thanked the teachers for their commitment to the District and students and thanked Ms. Bateman for her tireless efforts.
