Students who miss their final exams will be issued a grade of
“incomplete” for the semester. Students are required to make-up their
missed final exams during the first 2 weeks of the following semester to replace the “incomplete” grade with a letter grade. Failure to do so may result in a semester grade of “F” (fail). |

|The Class of 2015 Graduation Ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, May 28, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. in the Prairie City Stadium. Each graduate will receive seven tickets; five on the home side; two on the visiting side. Tickets will be distributed to the graduating senior on May 27th. A letter regarding graduation logistics will be mailed to all graduating seniors in April. |
**New Policy** To participate in the graduation ceremony, all graduates must wear a cap, gown, and tassel in approved school colors.
Students have three options when securing a cap, gown, and tassel for graduation:
1) students may purchase a cap, gown, and tassel through Jostens.
2) students can use a cap and gown from a sibling or friend who are school alumni (a tassel is required), or
3) students can borrow a cap, gown, and
tassel from Jostens.
Contact Jostens or to complete your order, click here: www.jostensnorcal.com.
|Attention Parents: If your son/daughter has been a student in the Folsom Cordova Unified School District, then the PowerSchool Parent Portal access logon will remain the same. However, if you are new to the district or have not accessed the PowerSchool Parent Portal in sometime, a letter will be mailed home providing detailed information on how to log in. If you need further assistance, please email Donna Thompson at firstname.lastname@example.org.|
Space permitting, a student that lives within the district may attend a school that is not in his/her attendance area. A School Choice Request form must be completed, signed, and returned to the student’s resident area school (boundary home school) by the deadline of February 27, 2015. Click here to access the form: School Choice
Note: Last week’s tragic loss of seventh-grader Ronin Shimizu has prompted community-wide reflection on how we work together to respond to bullying. At the Dec. 11 Board of Education meeting, Superintendent Deborah Bettencourt provided remarks about areas the District has already identified for improvement. She also proposed the formation of a task force that will explore long-term solutions, and a formal call for volunteers will come after Winter Break.
Thanks to the generous contribution, students and programs throughout Folsom Cordova will continue to have the resources they need to succeed.
Colorful decorations, festive food, and moving memorials all contributed to the transformation of a room at Walnutwood High School. The change was for Día de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead: a Mexican holiday in which people reunite with their lost loved ones.
