Congratulations to Mario Bacanowa, the Cordova Gardens 2013-2014, Spelling Bee champion. Mario faced stiff competition and was almost bounced from the challenge when he mis-spelled a word, however he received a reprieve when his challengers also missed a word in the same round. Great work by all 43 initial participants and the 22 spellers who made the oral version of the Spelling Bee.
Cordova Gardens’ teachers continue to receive donations from Donorschoose.org. A number of teachers have received awards this year bringing our Donors Choose gifts for Cordova Gardens to well over $10,000. If you would like to support gifts to our teachers who have posted Donors Choose projects go to the following link: http://www.donorschoose.org/donors/search.html and put Cordova gardens in the search box. Thanks in advance for your continued efforts and support of our students and your children. SOAR like an Eagle!!!
